Tsakos Energy Navigation Holds Sixteenth Annual General Meeting

Hamilton, Bermuda: June 4, 2008 - Tsakos Energy Navigation Ltd. ("TEN") (NYSE: TNP), announced today that the Company conducted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) with 80% of its common shares represented in person or by proxy. All resolutions proposed were approved by at least 97.8% of the votes cast at the meeting. In particular, _ Mr. Michael G. Jolliffe and Mr. Francis T. Nusspickel were re-elected as independent board members.

_ The audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2007 were

adopted.

_ Ernst & Young were appointed as auditors for the financial year ended December

31, 2008.

_ The remuneration of the non-executive directors was approved.

_ The amendments to the Company’s bye-laws were also approved.
