Key Tech Announces Appointment Of New BTC President & CEO

Hamilton, Bermuda: 22 August 2002 - BTC has a new President and CEO. Mr. Francis R. Mussenden takes the top spot on September 9th, 2002.

Mr. Mussenden is a Bermudian who began his career at BTC in 1974 and made a steady progression to the executive level within the company. Mr. Mussenden has a Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University, a Masters in Management degree and an MBA from Webster University. Mr. Mussenden is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and has extensive qualifications from within the telecommunications industry. He has completed executive management programs at Queen's School of Business and the Harvard Business School.

"My first order of business will be to change the corporate culture at BTC in a way that improves productivity, providing the highest level of customer service possible", says Mussenden. "The groundwork is already in place from which, new priorities will be developed for the purpose of redirecting the company. That new plan will be revealed in the coming months"
