Why Become a Listing Sponsor?
Becoming a BSX Listing Sponsor positions your firm as a trusted partner of BSX and widens the range of services your firm can provide to issuers – a vital role that strengthens client relationships and drives new business opportunities.
Listing Sponsor’s Role
As a sponsor your firm:
- Guides and advises issuers on the listing application process, conditions and requirements for listing.
- Acts as the main channel of communication between the BSX and an issuer.
- Provides guidance on the interpretation of the Listing Regulations.
- Supports listed issuers regarding their continuing obligations and listing suitability.

Listing Sponsor Membership Types
BSX offers two types of sponsor membership – Listing Sponsor and Premium Listing Sponsor.

Become a Listing Sponsor
There are two types of Listing Sponsor – a standard Listing Sponsor and a Premium Listing Sponsor.
- A standard Listing Sponsor can sponsor the secondary listing of equity securities and other securities that are restricted to Qualified Investors.
- A Premium Listing Sponsor can sponsor all types of issuers and listings including listings that are open to the public as well as Qualified Investors for investment.
A Listing Sponsor must be:
- Be a Bermuda incorporated entity.
- Be qualified and experienced in providing capital market advice and services to issuers.
- Meet the suitability and experience requirements in relation to its proposed membership.

1. Talk to us - We welcome new members and encourage applicants to contact us in advance so that we can provide support throughout the application process.
2. Submit documents – submit the following documents to listings@bsx.com:
- Listing Sponsor Application Form – the application form seeks information on your experience on transactions relating to your proposed membership.
- A Senior Executive Questionnaire for each senior executive.
- Identification documents for the legal entity, beneficial owners and directors.
3. Address any feedback – the Listing team will review your application and provide feedback where necessary within 5 business days. The team then submits the application to the Executive Management Committee (EMC) for consideration.
4. Approval – the Executive Management Committee considers the applicant’s eligibility and suitability for membership and makes its decision within 10 business days.
5. Agree admission date – once approved, the Listing Sponsor is admitted to membership on a mutually agreed date. A new membership is announced to the market and the Listing Sponsor can engage in listing services.

All fees payable in BM$ or US$.
Annual fees are pro-rated for the first year.

A Listing Sponsor’s continuing obligations include:
- Submission of an annual Confirmation of Suitability
- Co-operation with the Exchange on an ongoing basis
- Notification of changes to the listing sponsor entity including name, address or directors
- Notification of significant events affecting suitability e.g. imposition of disciplinary measures, liquidation
- Act as the main channel of communication between an issuer and the Exchange
- Guiding an issuer on new applications and continuing obligations
