Depository Services
We operate the Bermuda Securities Depository (BSD), a state-of the–art depository service for Bermuda which also clears and settles trades executed on the Bermuda Electronic Securities Trading (BEST), the BSX trading system.
The BSD attracts both domestic and international participants which hold and manage securities of issuers on their own and on behalf of their clients. These issuers may be Bermudian or international companies, funds, trusts or other legal entities.
BSD Services
Securities Settlement
Ensures Delivery versus Payment (DvP) for trades in securities on the BSX trading system, BEST.
Central Counterparty
Guarantees settlement for trading participants and therefore eliminates settlement risk.
Safekeeping of Securities
Holds and protects securities on behalf of market participants, retail and institutional clients in fully dematerialised form.
Asset servicing and corporate actions
Processes corporate actions and payment of dividends and interest.
Facilitates transfers
Handles transfers between accounts within the depository.
