It was initially listed on the NASDAQ National Market on 24 November, 1998 and subsequently transferred its listing to the NYSE. Through its operating subsidiaries, Scottish Annuity & Life Holdings, Ltd. engage in reinsurance of life insurance, annuities and annuity-type products. These products are written by life insurance companies and other financial institutions located principally in the United States, as well as around the world. In 2001 total revenues were $119 million. As of December 31, 2001 total assets were $2.1 billion and total capital was $301 million.
