A. L. Vincent Ingham Elected To Bank Of Butterfield Board Of Directors

Hamilton, Bermuda: 9 April 2003 - Bank of Butterfield today announced that A. L. Vincent Ingham was elected to the Board of Directors at the Bank's Annual General Meeting on 8 April 2003. In welcoming him to the Board, Chairman Dr. James King highlighted Mr. Ingham's business expertise and significant involvement with Bermudian community, government and professional organisations. Mr. Ingham is a professional engineer and Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and a Director of BELCO Holdings Limited.

Mr. Ingham was elected to fill the vacancy left by Dr. Stanley Ratteray, who passed away on 9 February 2003. Dr. Ratteray was elected to Bank of Butterfield's Board of Directors on 17 June 1969. Dr. King acknowledged the significant contribution Dr. Ratteray made over the years, and expressed the Bank's sadness at the loss of a valued Board Member and friend.
