The China Heartland Fund Limited Announces Administrative Changes

Hamilton, Bermuda: 28th April 2003 - The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) has been advised by Forum Fund Services Ltd., in accordance with Regulation 6.39(7) of Chapter 6 of Section IV of the BSX Listing Regulations, of the following material changes to the China Heartland Fund (MARCHII.BH & MARCHCI.BH) effective 1 May 2003:

· To terminate State Street Bank Luxembourg, S.A. (State Street) as accounting, subscription, redemption and paying agent for the Fund and to appoint Forum Fund Services Ltd;

· To terminate State Street Bank and Trust Company ("State Street Bank") as Custodian; (The Fund will not appoint a new Custodian as it has been granted an exemption by the Bermuda Monetary Authority.)
