Tyco Appoints Charles Young As Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications
Mr. Young will be responsible for media relations, brand management, employee communications, corporate philanthropy, community relations, and marketing communications. He will report to Chairman and CEO Ed Breen.
Mr. Breen said: "Charlie Young is an outstanding global business leader who brings to Tyco extensive communications and marketing experience from both the manufacturing and services industries. Charlie will be instrumental in building world-class communications processes supporting our internal and external stakeholders globally. He will be an integral part of Tyco's senior leadership team."

During his 15-year tenure with GE, Mr. Young held a number of positions of increasing responsibility, including global marketing leader for GE Medical, General Manager of Corporate Communications for GE Medical, and Director of Communications and Public Affairs for GE Global Research. Mr. Young has extensive functional experience in the areas of marketing, public relations, marketing communications, brand management, and government relations.
Mr. Young holds a B.S. degree in Liberal Arts and Journalism from the State University of New York College at Cortland.
