Hamilton, Bermuda: 4 September 2003 -- Based on the current forecast for Hurricane Fabian, Bank of Butterfield will be closed all day Friday and

Saturday. Today the Bank's branches will be open for business as usual until 3:30 p.m. We expect to re-open on Monday, September 8 to provide full service to our customers, unless otherwise announced.

Bank of Butterfield's Business Continuity Plan places top priority on the safety of our employees and customers, while enabling us to provide service with as little interruption as possible. As conditions permit, customers may make use of our ATMs island-wide and Butterfield Direct Telephone and Internet Banking.
