Rotterdam, The Netherlands: December 19, 2003 - Ashby Corporation Ltd. ("Ashby")(BSX:AHBY-BH (Bermuda Stock Exchange)( (Pink Sheets L.L.C.: AHBY-O) today announced the appointment of Reinald Curiel as CFO of the Company as from December 1, 2003.

"Reinald Curiel is an extremely talented executive and he brings a wealth of skills and expertise to Ashby's operations," said Hans Schutte, Ashby Corporation Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Before he joined Ashby Corporation as CFO, Reinald Curiel worked for a variety of organizations, including Brunel International N.V. where he acted as Director of Brunel Finance, Baker & McKenzie, Amsterdam, where he acted as trust officer and KPMG in Amsterdam and Curacao.
