Hamilton, Bermuda: 5 May 2004 - Pursuant to HSBC Holdings plc's third interim dividend for 2003 a total of 22,984,421 Ordinary Shares of US$0.50 each have been issued. Accordingly, application has been made to The UK Listing Authority for these shares to be admitted to the Official List and to the London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to trading. The Shares rank pari passu with the existing issued shares of the Company. Dealings are expected to commence on 5 May 2004.
