Ascendant Holdings Ltd. Announces Appointments
Ascendant Holdings also accepted the resignation of Willem Kramer effective immediately.
Both William and Steven bring extensive knowledge and successful track records to the Ascendant family.
Steven L. Phillips is an attorney who has practiced law for twenty-three years. Mr. Phillips spent fifteen years, the last eight as a partner, with Morrison & Foerster LLP in San Francisco, California. Since May 1996 he has been Assistant General Counsel with CMS Enterprises Company, a subsidiary of CMS Energy Corporation, a multi-billion dollar global energy company. Mr. Phillips has in-depth legal and international business development experience, including the acquisition, development, financing, construction, operation, and disposition of large infrastructure companies and assets both domestically and internationally.
William Jurika first entered the investment arena in 1967 as a broker for Francis I. Dupont & Company. He joined E.F. Hutton as a Vice President of Institutional Sales, and later founded Jurika & Voyles, Inc., an investment management firm, in 1976. Jurika & Voyles grew to manage over $7 billion in assets for private and institutional clients. The corporation was subsequently sold to New England Investment Companies in 1997. He recently co-founded the investment management company JMK Investment Partners, LLC.
