BSX Approves Listing of Participating Shares for Aurum Asia Pacific Euro Fund and Aurum Asia Pacific
The Funds were incorporated in Bermuda on 19 August 2004 and are registered as Bermuda Standard Schemes under the Bermuda Monetary Authority (Collective Investment Scheme Classification) Regulations 1998.
The Aurum Asia Pacific Funds were reorganized in August 2004 to provide different classes of Participating Shares denominated in currencies other than US dollars. In order to achieve this, a new Master Fund was created called Aurum Asia Pacific Fund, the existing Aurum Asia Pacific Fund was renamed the Aurum Asia Pacific Dollar Fund and the Aurum Asia Pacific Euro and Sterling Funds were formed.
Aurum Asia Pacific Dollar, Euro Fund and Sterling Funds (the Feeder Funds) will invest solely apart from the currency hedging strategy to protect their value in base currency terms from currency fluctuations into the Aurum Asia Pacific Fund (the Master Fund) whose objective is to achieve long-term capital growth by investing either directly, or indirectly through selected funds or investment managers, in a strategically determined mix of global fixed income securities, equity securities, derivative securities, currencies and other investment assets with an emphasis on long-term growth. Where investment is made by the Master Fund into other funds, these funds will be relevant to the investment strategy of the Master Fund, will be in a variety of legal forms and may be located anywhere in the world.
Continental Sponsors Ltd. sponsors the listing of the Participating Shares of the Aurum Asia Pacific Euro and Sterling Funds Ltd. The securities are being listed under the Listing Regulations for Collective Investment Schemes and the provisions for General Marketing.
The Aurum Asia Pacific Dollar Fund Ltd is already listed on the Exchange.
"Aurum Asia Pacific Euro and Sterling Funds Ltd are delighted to be listed on the BSX and to be able to benefit from its international reputation", said Mr. Morris of the Fund.
"We are pleased to welcome the Aurum Asia Pacific Euro and Sterling Funds to listing", said Mr. James S. McKirdy, Chief Compliance Officer of the BSX.
