Ace Limited Announces Receipt Of Subpoenas In Connection With Investigations

Hamilton, Bermuda: 15 November 2004 - ACE Limited(NYSE:ACE)today reported that it had received subpoenas from the Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York Attorney General requesting documents in connection with an investigation into non-traditional, or loss mitigation, insurance products. ACE has not been named or referenced in any lawsuits stemming from the investigation. ACE intends to comply with the subpoena.
