BSX Announces New Trading Member
Hamilton, Bermuda: 21st January 2005 - The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) is pleased to announce that Global Execution Technologies Ltd. ("GET") joined the BSX as a Broker-Dealer and Trading Member effective 30th September 2004.
Global Execution Technologies Ltd. (the "Company") was incorporated under the laws of Bermuda as a Bermuda Exempted Company on September 2, 1999 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of BNY International Financing Corporation ("BNYFC"), whose ultimate parent is The Bank of New York Company, Inc. The Company provides global equity execution, order routing and settlement services to institutional investors and broker-dealers, principally in Canadian, European and Far Eastern markets, through its wholly owned broker-dealer subsidiary G-Trade Services Ltd. ("G-Trade"). Execution services offered include G-Trade (Direct Execution), G-Port (Program Trading) and ADR Direct.
In making the announcement, BSX CEO Greg Wojciechowski stated, "We are delighted to welcome Global Execution Technologies Limited to the Bermuda Stock Exchange. We firmly believe that this alliance will further strengthen and enhance our respective lines of business."
As a BSX Trading Member "GET" has been granted a non-transferable license to trade on the Exchange. GET membership brings the current number of BSX Trading Members to sixteen.
