BF&M Comments On Report In The Barbados Advocate
Hamilton, Bermuda: 16 March 2005 - Commenting on a report in the 16 March edition of the Barbados Advocate newspaper which stated that the Prime Minister of Barbados had announced in Parliament that the Government had decided to sell its remaining shareholding in the Insurance Corporation of Barbados to BF&M, BF&M advised the Bermuda Stock Exchange that it has been in negotiations to acquire the shares of the Insurance Corporation of Barbados from the Government of Barbados for several months but has not yet signed a formal agreement to do so.
