Bermuda Container Line Ltd. Issues Letter To Shareholders
Hamilton, Bermuda: 18th August 2005 - In a letter to Shareholders that accompanied a recent dividend payment BCL President, Mr. Geoffrey R. Frith, stated that following:
"Preliminary figures to the end of July show that the cargo volume for the year to date for both the BCL and the SISL service is slightly behind that for the same seventh-month period in 2004. However, in the last couple of months there has been an up-surge in cargo volumes and both the "Oleander" and the "Somers Isles" have operated a number of voyages at full capacity. The increased volume in this period has been in Ro/Ro and break bulk cargo."
