British Security Group Limited (the "Company") - BSX Announcement

Hamilton, Bermuda: October 4, 2005 -- In accordance with the requirements of the BSX Listing Regulations British Security Group Limited (the Company) confirms that on March 25th, 2005 the Directors of the Company resolved to declare and make a distribution out of the Company's contributed surplus account to the shareholders of record as follows:

Tristar Fire - pounds sterling 15,998,251.41 and Euro 22,661,183.43

Tristar Corporation - pounds sterling 6,451,774.59 and Euro 9,138,816.57

Each of the above amounts are collectively referred to as the "Distribution" and amounted to US$ 84,272,720 as previously reported.

Since the Distribution results in a disposal of assets greater than 5% of the book value of the consolidated net tangible assets of the Company to a substantial shareholder as set out in Listing Regulation 6.13 (2) (ix), the Company hereby makes this formal announcement.

Given that the Company only has two registered shareholders, the Company has requested the BSX to waive the requirements of Listing Regulation 6.13 (1) (ii) that a report be sent to the shareholders. The Exchange has acceded to this request.
