W.P. Stewart Announces the Departure of John A. Allison

HAMILTON, Bermuda: Oct. 26 - W.P. Stewart & Co., Ltd. announced today that John A. Allison, Deputy Managing Director of the Company and Chairman of its subsidiary, W.P. Stewart Asset Management Ltd., will be leaving to pursue business interests outside of W.P. Stewart, the most immediate of which will be his purchase and development of a company that has been in his family for many decades. Bill Stewart, W.P. Stewart's Chairman of the Board said "Over the years that John has been with us he has made contributions to the firm across a broad front -- in investment management as well as corporate activities. Henry Smith, our President and Chief Executive Officer, the management team, our employees and the board of directors join me in thanking John for his contributions to the firm and to wish him well."
