BSX Approves Listing Of The Ordinary Shares of American Pegasus SPC

Hamilton, Bermuda: 11 January, 2007 - The Listing Committee of the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) today announced the approval of the listing of the Ordinary Shares of American Pegasus Perpetual Income Fund Segregated Portfolio (the "Portfolio"). The listing was effective from 08 January 2007.   

 

The listing was for the authorised share capital consisting of 550,000 shares of the portfolio of the American Pegasus SPC (the "Fund") designated as Class 15 Common Shares of the Fund and incorporated in the Cayman Islands as an exempted company with limited liability on the 16 June 2004. The shares are to be distributed to Qualified Investors by the appointed Administrator, ATC Fund Services (Curacao) N.V, a company organized under the laws of the Netherlands Antilles. The Fund is registered in the Cayman Islands as a segregated portfolio company under Section 233(1) of the Companies Law (2004 Revision) and is a closed end investment fund.

 

The Fund has a number of additional investment funds and segregated portfolios which operate as close-end segregated portfolios of the Fund, but in respect of which none of the shares of such portfolios are listed and it is not intended at this time to seek application for listing of those other shares.

 

The Portfolio's objective is to generate stable, predictable periodic distributions to its investors, through investing the Portfolio's assets in a basket comprised of (a) Senior Life Settlement insurance policies issued by investment grade insurance companies located in the United States (U.S.), (b) U.S. Treasury Obligations, and (c) other investment pools that invest in Life Settlement policies.

Bermuda International Securities Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of The Bank of Bermuda Limited - member HSBC Group) sponsored the listing of the Ordinary Shares of American Pegasus SPC.

 

The issue is being introduced for listing under the Restricted Marketing provisions of the Exchange and is for securities that are aimed at Qualified Investors, being individuals or institutions that invest either a minimum of $100,000 or otherwise meet one of the suitability tests defined by the Exchange.
