BF&M Announces Board Appointment Of Garry A. Madeiros, JP, FCA
Hamilton, Bermuda: March 27, 2007 - The Chairman of the BF&M Limited, Glenn M. Titterton, on behalf of the Board of Directors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Garry A. Madeiros, JP, FCA. Mr. Madeiros is President & Chief Executive Officer of BELCO Holdings Limited and Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited. He has worked at BELCO for twenty-one years and is in his 14th year as President & CEO.
Mr. Madeiros, a Chartered Accountant, has served on a large number of corporate, community and Government boards. For example he has been Chairman of Council Partners Charitable Trust, Chairman of the Finance Council for the Catholic Diocese, Chairman of the Board of Governors of CedarBridge Academy and Mount Saint Agnes Academy, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda, Chairman of Employees Assistance Program, President of the Bermuda Employers Council, Chairman of the Hotel Pension Plan and Director of the National Board of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Presently he is Chairman of the Board, for Mount Saint Agnes Academy (MSA), Chairman, MSA Capital Campaign, Chairman of the Defense & Promotions Board of the Bermuda Regiment, a Trustee of the Bermuda Hospital Charitable Trust, and a Justice of the Peace. For his contribution to the Chartered Accountant Profession and the community he was awarded a Fellowship from the Bermuda Institute of Chartered Accountants and for his contribution to education and the community he was awarded a Fellowship from Bermuda College.
