BSX Update Re Trading Halt In Butterfield Bank
Hamilton, Bermuda - 06 March 2009 - The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) announces that the trading halt in the common stock of Butterfield Bank (the "Company") will continue for the remainder of the current trading session.
The BSX has taken this action to allow the Company's shareholders and the market to absorb the import of today's announcement by the Company. The BSX views this action as prudent and in the interest of market participants.
The BSX intends to lift the trading halt at the market open at 9:00 am on Monday, 9th March, 2009.
