PartnerRe Appoints Dean Graham as Head of Life Business Unit

PEMBROKE, Bermuda – 09 September, 2010 - PartnerRe Ltd. (NYSE,Euronext:PRE) announced that Dean Graham has been appointed Head of Life, effective 08 September, 2010. Mr. Graham will be responsible for all of the Group's Life operations, reporting to Marvin Pestcoe a member of PartnerRe executive management. Mr. Graham succeeds Franck Pinette, who has decided to leave PartnerRe to pursue another opportunity.

With 20 years' experience in the Life insurance and reinsurance industry, Mr. Graham is currently Deputy Head of Life, leading the worldwide life market teams within the Life Business Unit. Mr. Graham joined PartnerRe in June 2008 as Deputy Head of Life. Prior to joining PartnerRe,  Mr. Graham was with Old Mutual South Africa, most recently as Chief Operating Officer of Old Mutual Corporate and Managing Director of Old Mutual Investment Administrators. Mr. Graham holds a B.Sc. (Mathematical Sciences) from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
