Butterfield Names Raymond Sykes Managing Director in UK
Hamilton, Bermuda ─ 25 November, 2010 – The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited (“Butterfield” or the “Bank”; Ticker: NTB.BH) today announced that it has appointed Raymond Sykes Managing Director of its London-based subsidiary, Butterfield Bank (UK) Limited. In this capacity, Mr. Sykes will have management
responsibility for Butterfield’s private banking operations in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Sykes joined Butterfield in September 2002, following 28 years with Clydesdale Bank in London and Scotland. He most recently held the posts of Acting Managing Director and Director and Head of Private Banking at Butterfield. Mr. Sykes is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland, Deputy Chairman of the Bermuda Society and a Trustee of the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences.
