BSX Approves Listing of Annuity and Life Re (Holdings) Ltd
Hamilton, Bermuda: 03 November, 2011 – The Listing Committee of the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) today announced the approval of the listing of Annuity and Life Re Holdings Ltd.
Annuity and Life Re Holdings Ltd. is a Bermuda Exempted Company which was incorporated on December 2, 1997. The Company established a wholly owned subsidiary, Annuity and Life Reassurance, Ltd. which was licensed as a long-term insurer under the Insurance Act 1978 of Bermuda and related regulations which was licensed as a long-term insurer under the Insurance Act 1978 of
Annuity and Life Reassurance, Ltd. is pursuing a strategy based upon partnering with experienced reinsurance companies for reinsurance underwriting and attempting to maximize investment performance through Pope Asset Management. The Company is primarily structuring its new reinsurance opportunities through quota share retrocession agreements with large reinsurance companies. In these agreements, Annuity and Life Reassurance, Ltd. will try to take on exposure of small portions of large property catastrophe underwriting books of reinsurers.
