Global Smart Cities Ltd – Directorate Appointments

Hamilton, Bermuda – 09 December, 2013 – The Board of Directors of Global Smart Cities Ltd  (“GSC”; Ticker: GSC.BH) wish to announce the appointments of Mr. Johannes Petrus Roux,  Mr. Mak Shee Fu Mr. Bruce Tsang as non-executive directors of the Company, with effect from 4 December, 2013.

GSC was formed in 2013 after its Hong Kong subsidiary, C2E Smart City Holdings Ltd., was successful in jointly entering into an agreement with the PRC Government Ministry of Housing and Rural Development of China and its agencies, which gave them access to the development of Smart Cities in the People’s Republic of China. One of the major tasks for GSC is to set up investment and debt structures augmented by a further 46 innovative SMART City technology applications, mostly sophisticated mapping models.

Mr. Roux is currently the co-Chairman and CEO of C2E Energy Inc. In addition, Mr. Roux was Chairman of Firminy Funds Luxembourg between 2007 to 2010, a position that involved client liaison with buyers in China, bond structuring and fund raising.

Mr. Mak is the co-founder and co-chairman of C2E Energy Inc., USA and is been responsible for identifying and implementing Chinese green technology projects with a view to rolling out such projects globally.

Mr. Tsang is the CEO of the Company’s Chinese operations. He has previously served as Chairman of Jinzhengyuan (Shenzhen) Industrial Development Ltd, Chairman of Zhizao Biological Technology Ltd., and Chairman of Zhonghuixingchen (Beijing) Timeshare Ltd.

As a result of the appointments the Company Board now comprises five directors, including Chief Executive Officer, Jacques Pauw and non- executive director Mark Palestine.
