Polaris Announces that Stevedoring Services Supports America’s Cup
Hamilton, Bermuda – 08 April, 2015 – In a filing with the Bermuda Stock Exchange (“BSX”), Polaris Holding Company Limited (the “Company”; Ticker: POLAR.BH) announced that Stevedoring Services Limited, a subsidiary of the Polaris Holding Company Ltd., was pleased to play a role in the historic discharge of America’s Cup Equipment in the Dockyard for Team Oracle. The filing stated:
“Polaris Holding Company Limited today announced that Stevedoring Services Limited, a subsidiary of the Polaris Holding Company Ltd., was pleased to play a role in the historic discharge of America’s Cup Equipment in the Dockyard for Team Oracle.
Following a successful bid, Stevedoring Services Limited was contracted to discharge the Oleander during her two recent visits to the Team Oracle base.
Warren Jones, CEO for the Polaris group noted that, “it has been many years since Stevedoring Services has provided stevedoring outside of the Hamilton Docks. It was exciting to play a part in the development of the 35th America’s Cup in Bermuda. Our staff actively engaged in the process from the moment the possibility of this work was made known to them. It was a total team effort that led to the successful and safe landing of Team Oracle’s equipment at its Dockyard base.
