Global Smart Cities Ltd - Change of Company Name
Hamilton, Bermuda – 10 June, 2015 – Global Smart Cities Ltd. (the “Company”; Ticker: GSC.BH) announces that the Company’s name has changed from Global Smart Capital Ltd to Global Smart Cities Ltd with effect from 26th of May 2015.
The decision to change the name is based on the Directors’ view that the business of Smart City Public Private Innovation Partnerships and Development, apart from raising capital for the group, typically involves a high level of research and development, urban planning / - engineering advisory services, technology deployment, infrastructure and property development, all of which is directly related to the environmental, mobility, governance, economics, people and lifestyle pillars of Smart Cities. Capital procurement and sourcing, as the previous name implied, will now become one of the centres of excellence of the Company, the others being as described above. The name reflects the present objectives of the Company in a more appropriate manner.
