BF&M Appoints Paul Markey to Board of Directors

Hamilton, Bermuda: 12 January 2016 - BF&M Limited today announced the appointment of Paul Markey to its Board of Directors effective immediately.

Mr. Markey retired recently as the Chairman of Aon’s Bermuda based insurance and reinsurance broking operation, Aon (Bermuda) Ltd. He joined Aon’s Bermuda operations in 1994, with a mandate to implement a reinsurance broking strategy in Bermuda following the emergence of the Bermuda property catastrophe market in 1992 and 1993.

Mr. Markey had worked for Aon for over 25 years, previously having been Executive Vice President in their New York City reinsurance broking operations. Prior to joining Aon in 1989, he spent 10 years with General Re in both the United States and London. Mr. Markey started his career with a Lloyd’s syndicate in the 1970’s.
