Executive changes at Markel CATCo Investment Management Ltd.
Hamilton, Bermuda – May 10, 2016 – CATCo Reinsurance Opportunities Fund Ltd. (the "Company”; Ticker: CAT.BH), today announced executive changes at Markel CATCo Investment Management Ltd.
The Company announces the following executive change at its Manager, Markel CATCo Investment Management Ltd. (“Markel CATCo”).
In line with its planned strategy, Markel CATCo intends to appoint Lindsay Watson as Chief Underwriting Officer. As part of this process, and by mutual agreement, Graham Wood, Chief Underwriting Officer, has today stepped down from Markel CATCo.
Lindsay, who is currently Senior Underwriter at Markel CATCo, has over 13 years’ experience in US, Bermuda and London Property and Casualty reinsurance markets.
Prior to joining Markel CATCo, Lindsay was a senior underwriter at Amlin (now MS Amlin), one of the world’s largest reinsurance companies. Prior to this, she worked for the reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter. Lindsay is a qualified Associate in Reinsurance.
Graham Wood was one of the founding directors of CATCo Investment Management Ltd. which was acquired by Markel Corporation on 8 December 2015. He has been part of the senior management team which has seen Markel CATCo’s AUM grow to over $3bn.
