Orbis SICAV Asia ex-Japan Equity Fund – certain changes
HAMILTON, BERMUDA: 1 November 2016 – In a filing with the Bermuda Stock Exchange, Orbis announced that with effect from 1 November 2016 the investment mandate of the Orbis SICAV Asia ex-Japan Equity Fund (the “Fund”) has been broadened to include all Emerging Markets (as such term is defined in the Fund’s prospectus), with corresponding changes being made to the Fund’s investment policy as well as its performance benchmark, which is now the MSCI Emerging Markets Index, Net (US$). The Fund has been simultaneously renamed the Orbis SICAV Emerging Markets Equity Fund and Orbis Investment Management Limited has become the Fund’s Portfolio Manager. Allan Gray International Proprietary Limited (“AGIPL”) has been appointed as an investment advisor to Orbis Investment Management Limited in respect of African securities for the Fund. AGIPL is a South African company, approved and regulated by the South African Financial Services Board as an authorised financial services provider.
