Ascendant Group Limited Appoints General Counsel and Secretary
Hamilton, Bermuda – February 15, 2017 – In a filing with the Bermuda Stock Exchange (“BSX”), Ascendant Group Limited (the "Ascendant Group" or “Company”; Ticker: AGL.BH) announced the appointment of Ms. Lorianne Gilbert as General Counsel, effective February 1, 2017, and Secretary, effective November 4, 2016. Hamilton, Bermuda (February 15, 2017) Ascendant Group Limited today announced the appointment of Ms. Lorianne Gilbert as General Counsel, effective February 1, 2017, and Secretary, effective November 4, 2016.
“I am pleased to announce that Ms. Gilbert has joined us as General Counsel and Secretary. She has been a terrific asset to our team since coming on board in September 2016 as Interim General Counsel”, said President & Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Sean Durfy. “Her vast legal experience in a range of areas will serve us well as we move into a new regulatory environment and chapter of growth for our company”.
Ms. Gilbert has been practising law for more than 20 years and has diverse experience devising and implementing practical solutions to complex legal, regulatory and business challenges.
Her previous experience includes positions at KeyTech Limited, where she served as General Counsel and Secretary, and within Bermuda law firms.
Ms. Gilbert is a Bermudian who attended Warwick Academy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Spanish from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Laws degree from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
