BAS Group Appoints New Directors

Hamilton, Bermuda – March 26, 2018 - In a filing with the Bermuda Stock Exchange (“BSX”), Bermuda Aviation Services Limited (the “Group” or “BAS”; Ticker:

BAS.BH) announced the appointment of new directors. The full filing stated: 

Bermuda Aviation Services Limited (“BAS”) today announces the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors. 

The three new board members are Mr. Dennis Fagundo, Mr. Michael Leverock and Mr. Glen Smith. They will provide oversight and leadership to the BAS Group, which is made up of subsidiary companies: BAS-Serco, Besco, CCS, Eastbourne Properties, Eff-Tech, Otis and Weir Enterprises.

Mr. Fagundo is a second-generation construction professional, co-managing Director of D&J Construction, one of Bermuda’s leading construction firms. He has approximately 20 years of business experience and specialises in business development, negotiation, government relations, information technology, contract issues and equipment. Mr Fagundo served on the Immigration Reform Working Group and is a Director of Grotto Bay, Somersfield Academy, Spar Yard and Victoria Place. He is also on the Executive Board of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce, where he is Vice President.

Mr. Leverock brings with him more than two decades of progressive business and start-up management experience and is a Director of One Communications Ltd. He began his career as a civil engineer, with a focus on public wharfs, docks, containment facilities, public and private developments and infrastructure projects. He later co-founded Bermuda Digital Communications Ltd, which operated as CellularOne. Mr Leverock was Chairman of the Bermuda Energy Commission from 2009 until 2016. Mr Leverock also serves on the Board of the Bermuda Monetary Authority.

Mr. Smith is a seasoned entrepreneur with extensive experience in founding and managing limited liability companies. Mr Smith is the Founder and Managing Director of Auto Solutions and International Bonded Couriers.  Additionally, he is a Director of Lines Overseas Management and Harbour Realty. 

Ms. J. Patricia Lynn will be retiring from the Board after more than 40 years of dedicated service to the Company as a director and senior employee.
