SCISYS - Change of Auditor
Hamilton, Bermuda: 23 October 2018 - In a filing with the Bermuda Stock Exchange (“BSX”) SCISYS PLC, an AIM listed company whose Secured Loan Note Programme is listed on the BSX,announced a change of auditor. The full filing stated:
SCISYS PLC ("SCISYS" or “Company”), the supplier of bespoke software systems, IT-based solutions and support services to the Media & Broadcast, Space, Government, Defence and Commercial sectors announces that, following a competitive tender process in relation to the Company’s external auditorthat was overseen by SCISYS’s Audit Committee, it has today appointed Ernst & Young LLP (“EY”) as the Company's new auditor with effect from 22 October 2018.
EY will conduct the audit of the Company's financial statements for the financial year to 31st December 2018. Any proposal to re-appoint EY in respect of the financial year beginning 1 January 2019 will be subject to shareholder approval at the 2019 AGM.
KPMG LLP has resigned by notice to the Company under section 516 of the Companies Act 2006 and has also confirmed that there are no matters connected with it ceasing to hold office that need to be brought to the attention of members or creditors of the Company for the purposes of section 519 of the Companies Act 2006.
