Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd : Management Changes

Hamilton, Bermuda – 30 September 2019 - In a filing with the Bermuda Stock Exchange (“BSX”), Bermuda Aviation Services Limited (the “Group” or “BAS”; Ticker: BAS.BH) today reported management changes. The full filing stated:

Bermuda Aviation Services Limited (“BAS”) and its Board of Directors announced that effective October 31, 2019, Ms. Leslie Rans will resign as Chief Executive Officer to take a leadership role with another Bermudian business.  Ms. Rans will continue to contribute to BAS as a newly appointed non-executive director.

David Pugh, Chairman of the Board of Directors said, “During her term as CEO, Ms. Rans has implemented and executed the Board’s strategic vision to restructure the business, improve shareholder value by applying a philosophy of fiscal prudence while streamlining processes, creating a sales driven culture and employee accountability. “

“I am heartened by where the BAS Group sits right now,” said Ms. Rans.  “BAS is now poised to be more strategically nimble and well positioned to capitalize on operating efficiencies gained and to create opportunities for core business growth.  The team is led by very solid senior management team and a committed Board of Directors.”

In line with the Group’s strategy to reduce corporate overhead, an Executive Committee of the Board of Directors has been formed to execute the responsibilities for the role of CEO.  This Committee has direct oversight of the two operating pillars of the Group, being Facilities Management and Information Technology.  Additionally, the Finance and Accounting function will also report directly into this Committee.
