Bank of Bermuda
(Hamilton, Bermuda, June 26, 1997) Mr. Edward H. Gomez, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Bank of Bermuda Limited, today announced that the Bank is investigating various options to enhance the marketability of the Bank's common shares, including a secondary listing of its common shares on an overseas stock exchange, possibly in the United States. Mr. Gomez cautioned, however, that investigations are exploratory at this time, and emphasized that there can be no assurance that the Bank's common shares will trade other than on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
