Hamilton, Bermuda, July 21, 1999 -Staples Holdings Limited (SHL) today advised the Bermuda Stock Exchange that the Bank of Bermuda has exercised its right to sell the stock of Staples Limited upon SHL's payment default on the demand promissory note of 5 April, 1995 given by SHL to the Bank.
