GlobeNet - Conyers Steps Down
ST. DAVID'S, BERMUDA, 14 March, 2000 - GlobeNet Communications Group Limited announced today that due to a potential conflict of interest with the firm being nominated as the Company's auditors, Jeffrey Conyers has resigned his positions as Vice Chairman and Director of the GlobeNet Board. Mr. Conyers, an investment banker with First Bermuda Securities, Ltd., will continue his association with the Company as an observer on the GlobeNet Board and as the Company's Resident Representative in Bermuda.
