Hamilton, Bermuda: 6 April, 2000 - The Board of Directors of Fleming Flagship Fund, in accordance with the articles of incorporation and the Prospectus, have resolved the suspension of dealing and the calculation of the net asset value of the Fleming India Fund with effect from April 4th 2000. This step has been taken to protect the interests of the shareholders whilst current uncertainty on the continuation of benefits under the India Mauritius double taxation agreement is resolved.
Instructions to subscribe to or redeem shares during this suspension will be processed on the first dealing day after the lifting of the suspension.
