Bank of Bermuda Appoints Senior Manager

Hamilton, Bermuda: 6 April 2000 - Bank of Bermuda is pleased to announce today the appointment of William H. Scott to Senior Vice President, Corporate Planning. Mr Scott will also join the Executive Committee of the Bank.

In his new role, Mr Scott will be responsible for directing the Bank's global strategic planning process and the related performance reporting functions. He will report to the Chief Financial Officer, Edward Gomez.

Mr Scott joined the Bank's Finance & Planning division in 1991, and has held a variety of senior management positions within the division since then. He was most recently Vice President, Corporate Controller.
