De Rosa, who previously held senior management positions at Toronto Dominion Bank, Central Guaranty Trust, and the Bank of Montreal, brings more than 15 years and a strong general management background in the card industry to the company.
Responsible for both large and small card operations, De Rosa has field experience and insight into the Canadian card community. He also has started new businesses, re-engineered existing operations, planned the acquisition of card portfolios and spearheaded the launch of the Canadian GM Card program. Throughout his career, he has participated in the development of affinity card programs in Canada, and developed and negotiated major third party processing contracts in both Canada and the United States. De Rosa was a member of the Visa Canada Delivery Systems Committee from 1990-92.
Most recently, De Rosa has provided services to financial institutions, retailers and third party service providers on both strategic and operational issues. He also has advised private investors and business owners on the purchase and financing of a wide variety of small and medium size businesses.
