The Board of Directors of China Heartland Fund Limited (the "Company") are pleased to announce the appointments of Mrs. Edith G Conyers and Mr. Paul Stevenson as directors to the Company with effect from 1 September 2000.
Mrs. Conyers acts as General Manager of Forum Fund Services Ltd., a Bermuda exempted company that is part of the Forum Financial Group of companies ("Forum") based in Portland, Maine, USA. Forum is among the largest third party fund administrators in the United States with more than $76 billion in client assets under administration. Mrs. Conyers has over ten years offshore fund industry experience, most recently as General Manager of International Corporate Management of Bermuda Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bermuda Commercial Bank Limited, specialising in offshore fund administration and management of exempted companies in Bermuda. Mrs. Conyers is American.
Mr. Stevenson joined Forum Fund Services Ltd as Senior Manager responsible for Fund Accounting and Client Relationships in June 1998. He has six years offshore fund industry experience having worked two years with Ernst & Young, Bermuda as a Supervisor in the Investment Focus Group and subsequently as Controller with UBAM International Management (Hamilton) Limited, a subsidiary of Union Bancaire Privee of Switzerland. Mr. Stevenson is Canadian.
