Conexys Appoints Industry Experts To Executive Team As Part Of Ongoing Global Expansion Plans

Toronto, Canada: 11 October, 2000 - Conexys Corporation Ltd. (BSX: CXYS.BH), an emerging, Web-based, carrier-grade Communication Service Provider, today announced the appointment of three individuals to the Company's executive team.

Philip Brazeau, Edward Corbett and Gordon Smith will all play significant roles in the development of Conexys as the Company endeavours to become the industry-recognized, global leader in communication management. Brazeau, Corbett and Smith join Conexys as Vice-President of Corporate Development, Vice-President of Finance, and Director of Sales, respectively.

Complementing a distinguished career guiding the legal process of several major Canadian corporations, Philip Brazeau joins Conexys from PSINet Limited. At PSINet, Mr. Brazeau was General Counsel and Vice-President, Public Policy, and managed the Law and Policy Departments and oversaw business development initiatives, including identifying, negotiating and executing business strategies involving alliances and major acquisitions. Prior to his position at PSINet, Mr. Brazeau was Senior Counsel at SHL Systemhouse. In addition, Mr. Brazeau is currently Chairman of the Board of the Canadian Association of Internet Providers, and Advisory Board member for the MIT program at the University of Toronto.

Edward Corbett who has vast experience in finance, accounting and strategic planning for companies of all sizes, joins Conexys from Cellular Accessories Development Company, a research and development wireless communications company. There, he was the Chief Financial Officer responsible for cost containment, internal operations and financial planning. Previously, Mr. Corbett was Chief Financial Officer for InTELaTECH, a marketing company that distributes and resells electronic components and value-added services, where his duties included strategic planning, budgeting and M&A activity.

With extensive communication industry experience in a variety of technical and sales management roles, Gordon Smith comes to Conexys from Teleglobe Inc., a provider of broadband services with a global Internet network. There, Mr. Smith was charged with the successful development of major accounts for the retail division of Teleglobe. Previous to his position at Teleglobe, Mr. Smith was responsible for business development across Canada for Equant, an international voice and data value-added network company.
