Hamilton, Bermuda 16 October 2000 - The Bermuda Insurance Index Advisory Committee today announced that pursuant to the Ground Rules for the Management of the BSX Bermuda Insurance Index Trenwick Group Ltd. (TWK) has been added to the Index's constituent base, with immediate effect.
In compliance with Index regulations, Trenwick Group Ltd., a NYSE listed security, is domiciled in Bermuda and meets the listing and trading requirements of the regulations.
The Committee went on to note that La Salle Re has been deleted from Index, following its acquisition by the Trenwick Group and subsequent delisting from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
The total number of stocks in the Index remains at eleven, with a combined market cap of $33.7 billion.
