The practicality of the Meteor 200 facilitates care for patients who are on ventilators by providing the clinician with a redundant ventilator display system. The Meteor enhances the practice of clinically validating 700 Series numerical patient data. The Meteor can improve quality by allowing clinicians to view waveform responses to various ventilator settings. With this ventilator performance improvement feature, hospitals can process ventilator data more efficiently. Quality can be enhanced for physicians who wish to verify ventilator settings from the bedside. Clinicians can observe waveform changes, respiratory mechanics, and settings for compliance to protocols. The waveforms are configurable so clinical information may be defined and viewed by the end user.
Product Overview
The Meteor monitor is a stand-alone respiratory monitor that can either be handheld or mounted on top of a Puritan-Bennett 700 Series Ventilator. The device will provide continuous measurement of flow and pressure in the patient circuit, via a disposable inline flow sensor that will be connected at the patient wye The front of the monitor features a LCD screen with backlight, a battery charge indicator, and a raised dome membrane keypad with six operator keys. The monitor has four screens for viewing parameters and data. The first screen, the Data Acquisition Screen, shows waveforms, loops and numerical data for the patient's breathing. This data is collected and displayed on a breath by breath basis. The other three screens can be selected to display one of these three types of data individually.
