In response to industry demand for a product that ensures maximum adhesion to skin and patient comfort, Tyco Adhesives has developed a breakthrough line of adhesive coated, medical films. The new FF 400 and FF 401 are highly breathable, flexible microporous films. FF 400 is designed for sensitive skin, using Tyco's gentlest hypoallergenic pressure sensitive adhesive, while FF 401 employs a non-sensitizing medical grade adhesive specifically formulated for longer wear. Both products are available in flesh and transparent colors and offer a variety of skin-contact applications, including wound care, first aid tape, finger bandages, electrodes, pulse oximeter sensors, transdermal patches and other device mounting applications. FF 400 and FF 401 are available in custom widths and lengths and can be easily die cut into various shapes and sizes.
Tyco Adhesives introduces its new FM 300 moisture resistant adhesive for high stress and long-wear applications. FM 300 is constructed of polyethylene foam for maximum patient comfort. The specially formulated moisture-resistant medical grade adhesive is resistant to both perspiration-borne moisture and external sources of water. Currently available on 1/8", 1/16" or 1/32" thick foam, the adhesive can also be used with a wide range of carriers for virtually any application.
With the introduction of TR 200, Tyco Adhseives offers one of its most popular medical adhesives as a transfer adhesive. TR 200 imparts excellent adhesion to skin and is stable to gamma, EtO and autoclave sterilization. Bonding with most foams, films, fabrics and medical devices, TR200 is ideal for wound care, ostomy seal, electrodes and TDDS. For applications where even stronger adhesion is required, Tyco Adhesives offers TR 201 with adhesive thickness of 2.5 mils.
Finally, Tyco Adhesives introduces its popular nonwoven tissue in flesh color, providing an attractive alternative to ordinary paper tapes. NW 100 offers a breathable backing, soft and conformable construction and hypoallergenic medical adhesive for maximum user comfort. The tissue is used for all skin contact applications, including wound care, first aid tape and device holding and concealment. NW 100 is available in either jumbo or slit rolls, with liner or self-wound.
