Conexys and eMaya Deliver Unified Communications to Asia

Toronto, Canada:14 May 2001 - Conexys Corporation Limited (BSX: CXYS.BH) announced today a strategic partnership with EMaya, LLC to form Conexys Asia Pacific as a wholly owned Conexys subsidiary. The company will be based in Hong Kong and Manila and will offer Conexys' proprietary iComMand„¢, an enhanced communication management platform, to the Asian market beginning in Q3 2001.

Conexys also announced today the appointment of Mr. Therone Yupangco, co-founder of EMaya, as Managing Director of Conexys Asia Pacific (€˜CAP'). Mr. Yupangco has served in a number of senior positions in Asian-based communications companies, including President of PSINet Philippines and Inter.Net.

The award-winning ASP platform, iComMand„¢, which was recently launched in Canada, will appeal to the growing Asian marketplace as it was built to seamlessly integrate with additional ASP and communication-service offerings. The iComMand„¢ platform is enabled with proprietary unified-communications technology, which specifically appeals to the ailing global-telecommunications industry. According to a recent report from the Yankee Group, "one of the areas of growing importance in a carrier portfolio is enhanced services, from voice mail and personal number services to unified messaging." Telecommunications companies in Asia are reaching out today for services that will help to improve revenue while deepening customer relationships.

"The timing of the iComMand„¢ launch in AsiaPacific could not be better for Conexys," says Edward Furtak, Conexys Chairman and CEO. "Global communications companies are looking for services to increase revenue while building customer loyalty in order to maintain their market positions. iComMand„¢ is the ideal platform on which to integrate and offer these services," says Furtak.

CAP will have sales and administration offices in Hong Kong with an engineering and support team located in Manila to service customers. "The AsiaPacific region is home to 34% of the world's Fortune 500 companies," says Therone Yupangco. "Traditional telcos in AsiaPacific have been restructuring their core business by incorporating IP into their long-term strategies, which makes iComMand„¢ an attractive value-added platform for these times."

EMaya, LLC is an Internet operating and development company that specializes in next- generation infrastructure and enabling technologies with its award-winning ClickSupport platform, providing companies with world-class outsourced services. EMaya will be leveraging the relationships it has built in Asia as a result of its strong historical presence in the region.
