BCB Warrants to Continue Trading

Hamilton, Bermuda, 29 May 2001 - The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) today announced that due to our settlement conventions Bermuda Commercial Bank Warrants would potentially trade with no exercise rights as of the close of business 28 May, 2001.

At a meeting of Shareholders and Warrant holders to be convened on 30 May, 2001, a decision will be made whether to extend the expiry date of the Warrants to 31 May, 2002. It is the opinion of Bermuda Commercial Bank's Board that the expiry date will be extended. However, if the expiry date is not extended investors should be aware that any warrants purchased after 28 May might not be exercisable.
