Conexys Corporation Appoints Richard Carmichael to lead its Business Development Team

Hamilton, Bermuda, 9 July, 2001 - In a move to accelerate global penetration of its Application Service, Conexys Corporation Ltd. (BSX: CXYS.BH) www.conexys.com, a leader in the communications application services industry, today announced the appointment of Richard Carmichael as Executive Vice President - Global Sales. Mr. Carmichael will lead the international sales organization of Conexys Corporation who has offices in Toronto, Hong Kong, London, Manila, Cape Town and Hamilton, Bermuda.

Previously Director of Sales for EDS' Information Solutions, Mr. Carmichael possesses more than 33-years of telecommunications experience along with a solid understanding of today's converging wire line, wireless and IP service offerings. Mr. Carmichael has held senior positions in North America and in Europe in positions of - sales, marketing, business development, partnerships and strategic alliances - for companies such as Southwestern Bell, Logica, Aethos Communications Systems, Comverse, AccessLine Technologies, Nortel and Atlas Telecom. Richard has a successful history of involvement with strategic sales involving messaging platforms. He holds a BA in Business Management.
