Mr. Therone Yupangco, Managing Director of Conexys Asia-Pacific, reaffirmed that "the ePLDT partnership will give Conexys access to a customer base that assures a leading position in the Philippines for unified communications as well as a key foothold for expansion within Asia Pacific."
ePLDT's partnership with Conexys is part of its ongoing strategy to become the leading service provider and technology enabler of Internet applications and multimedia content service providers. iComMand„¢ collects email, voicemail, and faxes in a single electronic mailbox that can be accessed from anywhere in the world. Access is through the Internet or by using a fixed or mobile telephone, a PC or a wireless PDA (Personal Digital Assistant). The iComMand„¢ platform also offers a number of complimentary services which include a Text-to-Speech facility that can read email messages over the telephone, play back voice mail messages, and alert the recipient if a message or fax has been received.
The iComMand„¢ solution also allows ePLDT and its partners to bundle additional services onto the platform, offering customers a much stronger value proposition. "It's a perfect fit with our business line; these services will appeal to our enterprise and small-businesses customers as they will significantly improve their communication efficiencies," says Ray Spinosa, Managing Director of ePLDT.
The deal follows Conexys Corporation's recent announcement of the opening of its Asia-Pacific offices in Hong Kong and Manila after forming a joint venture relationship with the EMaya Group of Companies. "The joint venture with EMaya is a key milestone in keeping with our long-term strategy of becoming the premier global provider of unified communications," says Charles Menatti, Conexys' CEO.
